Well, I need to tell you about how my life has been and what I'm doing now. Let's just say that 2016 has been a pretty awful year for me in terms of my emotional and physical health. I had some bad things happen in my personal life that I'd rather not get into. That turned into some pretty serious bad habits in terms of what I ate and going to the gym (or not going would be a better way to put it). I allowed circumstances to affect my health to the point that I had gained about 25 pounds. That sounds bad, but it looks even worse on my small frame. I was pretty miserable and trapped in a cycle. I didn't like the way I looked, which made me sad, which made me want to eat more, and the cycle went on. I decided that I could not keep going down this path. I needed a bit of a "jump start" to get my weight and waistline moving in the right direction. At first I looked into different fat burning pills but it seemed like most of them could not really live up to the promise the advertisers made. I also had someone tell me that slow and steady would be the best way to do things as far as dropping weight. That may be right, but I figure there was nothing wrong with losing weight more quickly if I wanted to. I checked out some reviews on the 3 week diet system and thought it was worth a try (http://musclereview.net/3-week-diet-review/). I realize that there is a limit to what the human body can do in under one month, but I wanted to lose fat at a rapid pace to start with. I could always go more slowly if I wanted, but I really felt like I needed some momentum. After researching things further I decided to give this system a try. It was hard because it is very strict, but I did see some really fast results. And the beauty is that I didn't really lose much lean (muscle) mass in the process. I quickly dropped several pounds that I would not have on a more conventional diet. After doing this strategy I have now switched to a more long-term approach. But this "crash" diet approach was good for me because losing weight quickly really kept me motivated to stay with it. Now that I've changed to a more long-term strategy I will be going to the gym and just monitoring my calories and macronutrients. But I don't regret starting things off with a bang in order to get motivated. Comments are closed.
